Seit De­zem­ber 2014 be­her­bergt das Ar­chiv Ar­tist Pu­bli­ca­ti­ons in Mün­chen ei­nes der wohl span­nends­ten Bi­blio­theks­kon­glo­me­ra­te un­se­rer Zeit – “La Bi­blio­t­hè­que Fan­tas­tique” von An­toine Le­feb­v­re. 2009 be­gann der Künst­ler, Ku­ra­tor und Ver­le­ger, in sei­ner fan­tas­ti­schen Bi­blio­thek ver­schie­dens­te Künst­ler­bü­cher zu sam­meln und frei zu­gäng­lich zu ma­chen. Was die­sen Bü­chern fehlt, ist ihr Wa­ren­cha­rak­ter: Zu­sam­men­ge­stellt aus Schwarz­weiß-Ko­pien, ent­schlackt von ISBN-Num­mern, die Na­men der Au­toren teils über­schrie­ben oder un­kennt­lich ge­macht, wer­den sie – ganz im Sin­ne der Ap­pro­pria­ti­on Art – zu ei­gen­stän­di­gen Kunst­wer­ken. Tex­te, Bil­der und Ti­tel­blät­ter sind be­reits Vor­han­de­nem ent­nom­men und wer­den, wie et­wa Mi­chel Fou­caults Es­say “La Bi­blio­t­hè­que Fan­tas­tique” (auf den Le­feb­v­re sich ganz of­fen­kun­dig be­zieht), ver­viel­fäl­tigt. Chaque an­née, le Cne­ai or­ga­ni­se le Sa­lon Light au Point Ephé­mè­re à Pa­ris, sa­lon dé­dié à la mi­cro-édi­ti­on et à la pu­bli­ca­ti­on d’artistes. Or­ga­ni­sé sur trois jours, en par­al­lè­le de la FIAC, le sa­lon s’anime des in­ter­ven­ti­ons des édi­teurs et est ryth­mé par un pro­gram­me de ta­bles de re­cher­ches, la pa­ru­ti­on du Jour­nal Sa­lon light #8 et par la re­mi­se du prix «the pu­blisher =». Dé­ca­lée, éco­no­me et au­da­cieu­se, l’approche édi­to­ria­le des par­ti­ci­pan­ts du Sa­lon Light re­flè­te une vo­lon­té de repen­ser l’objet im­pri­mé et sa pro­duc­tion dans sa globalité.

cne­ai = or­ga­ni­s­es the Sa­lon Light : an an­nu­al mee­ting of mi­cro-pu­blishers of ar­tists’ pu­bli­ca­ti­on at Point Ephé­mè­re. For its se­venth edi­ti­on, the Sa­lon Light is part of the pro­gram off of the FIAC and will ta­ke place from the 22^nd to the 24^th Oc­to­ber 2010. Wi­th the pre­sence of so­me fif­ty in­ter­na­tio­nal pu­blishers and 6000 vi­si­tors in 3 days, this fes­ti­ve event reve­als a de­man­ding but al­so a very ac­ces­si­ble ar­tis­tic pro­duc­tion. The 2010 edi­ti­on is di­vi­ded in­to four po­les: pu­blishers, Mot­to sel­ec­tion, book­sel­lers and the free­bies sa­lon. It high­lights the in­ven­ti­ve­ness of the par­ti­ci­pan­ts who put their know how in the ser­vice of trans­ver­sal prac­ti­ces: books, ma­ga­zi­nes, pos­ters, vi­de­os, vi­nyl, websites …
The­se pu­bli­ca­ti­ons, of­ten wi­th a li­mi­t­ed cir­cu­la­ti­on and so­me­ti­mes im­pos­si­ble to find, open new doors and crea­te new net­works in the world of pu­bli­shing. Shifted, thrif­ty and ad­ven­tur­ous, the edi­to­ri­al ap­proach of the par­ti­ci­pan­ts in the Sa­lon Light re­flects a wil­ling­ness to rethink the prin­ted ob­ject and its over­all roduction.The sa­lon is punc­tua­ted by sa­les and si­gna­tures on the stands of pu­blishers as well as by the Ma­ra­thon « 11 mi­nu­tes », a con­ti­nuing pro­gram of per­for­man­ces and lec­tures con­duc­ted by the pu­blishers, the gra­phic de­si­gners and the wri­ters participating.
