Onomatopee 95. 11”x17” by Elisa van Joolen is an on-going project that examines and challenges the fashion industry’s prevailing value systems and proposes new methods of production. The project began in 2013 with a series of conversations with representatives of various fashion brands including G-Star, O’Neill, gsus sindustries, Rockwell by Parra, Converse, moniquevanheist, and Nike. These companies then contributed by donating clothing and footwear in the form of samples, archival pieces and stock. A selection of these, complemented with pieces of second-hand and no-brand clothing have undergone a process of cutting out and reconstructing to become 11”x17” Sweaters and Invert Footwear. 11”x17” creates a network. It unites different categories of clothing and different values within fashion. an eclectic mixture of mid-market, second-hand, and high-end items.

Niko Abramidis, Peter Kling und Amedeo Polazzo haben sich 2011 zu einem Kollektiv zusammengeschlossen und aus ihrer gemeinsamen Leidenschaft für Mode, Design und Kunst ein Projekt für das MaxmiliansForum entwickelt. „Form Follows Fashion“ ist ein zweiwöchiges Veranstaltungsprogramm in einer aufwendigen Rauminstallation, das eine Schnittstelle zwischen den Kernkompetenzen der drei Künstler und Designer bildet und den Produktionsprozess moderner kreativer Arbeit darstellt. Der Besucher entdeckt unter der Maximilianstraße eine echte Waldlandschaft. Bäume, Pflanzen und Erde machen den Raum zu einem urbanen Rückzugsort. Ein vielfältiges Kulturprogramm bietet über zwei Wochen eine öffentliche Plattform für junge Designer, Musiker, Filmemacher und Künstler. Live-Modenschauen, Konzerte, Performances sowie Filmscreenings und Undergroundpartys finden im Zeitraum vom 4.-20.04.2012 statt.
Anhand ihrer eigenen Mode ermöglichen die drei einen Einblick in die Entwicklung und Produktion zeitgenössischer Labels

British artist Anna McCarthy lives and works in Munich. She studied at the Glasgow School of Art and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. BAU was founded in 2004 in Viareggio, on the coast of Tuscany, by a group of artists and individuals interested in the many-sided aspects of the culture of our times. Thanks to a widespread and constantly expanding network of contacts, every year the project takes the shape of an expressly designed UniA4 sized box: BAU container of contemporary culture. This non-profit box is produced in a limited edition of 150 copies (120 for issue 1 and 200 for issues 9-10) and contains original works, signed and numbered, from a large number of international contributors.
The BAU container fits in the vast tradition of assembling publications and artists‘ magazines that developed since the early sixties. It intends to experiment with new languages, technologies and materials, operating in a peculiar dimension of group work that is open also to contributions from non-artists: outsiders, travellers, collectors of curiosities, creative gastronomers, anomalous scientists.
In a relational and non competitive perspective that is responsive to the relationships between art and science, politics and environment, BAU acts as a meeting point in order to stimulate dialogues, interactions and exchanges among the most diverse disciplines: graphics, collage, photography and the visual arts in general, but also poetical and narrative researches, acoustic and performative experiences, documents pertaining the fields of fashion and design, etc. The operative network expresses itself also through the planning of exhibitions, meetings, festivals and events, organized in institutional spaces (libraries, galleries, museums) and in atypic locations.

Runaway Process' ist ein Begriff in der Evolutionstheorie und Kybernetik zu dem die Metapher "aus dem Ruder laufen" recht gut passt.
In dem Seminar beschäftigen wir uns auch mit der Idee des Gesamtkunstwerks, dem Cabaret Voltaire und der Bauhaus Bühne bis hin zu Paraden, Game Shows, Clubs und popkulturellen Events. Es geht also um Spass und gute Unterhaltung ohne Gattungsgrenzen. Wir entwickeln wir eine interdisziplinäre Ausstellungspräsentation die das Format Modenschau auf den Kopf stellt. Studierende können eigenständige oder kollaborative Beiträge leisten, die nicht nur mit Objekten, Bildern, Design und Fashion zu tun haben, weil wir auch Sound, Performance, Tanz, Deko, Doku, PR, Licht, etc. brauchen.
